It is our great pleasure to welcome you to The European Congress on Leukemias - Between Cutting Edge and Grey Zone Controversies
, which will take place 4-5 April 2019
in Vienna, Austria
We are in a fascinating era where several types of leukemia have become potentially curable by the administration of chemotherapy and targeted treatments with the help of personalized medicine.
We are midway in a journey which started by deciphering the genetic code, continues with the understanding of the pathways and genes involved in the leukemic process and will hopefully end with chemotherapy free treatments and treatment free remission, namely CURE for this group of terminal disorders.
will focus on the latest developments and findings in the different types of leukemia as well as targeted therapies and personalized treatments while taking into consideration also the controversial issues we are still facing. The Congress will welcome hematology professionals including clinicians, researchers, industry professionals as well as other treatment experts.
The congress will focus on the various leukemia, namely, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) & acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), myeloproliferative disorders (MPD) & chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) as well as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
For each type of leukemia we will focus on the following key areas:
- Translational perspectives
- Diagnostic aspects
- Treatment perspectives: personalized treatments, controversies and cure
- The role of minimal residual disease (MRD)
- Age adapted clinical approach
- Clinical trials
- Interdisciplinary perspectives and patient reported outcomes (PROs)
- Immunological perspectives
You are invited and encouraged to contribute to the program by submitting abstracts for oral and poster presentation and we look forward to your active involvement.
We look forward to seeing you at The European Congress on Leukemias - Between Cutting Edge and Grey Zone Controversies
